IWG, LLC was founded in 1998 as Industrial Waste Group, LLC. Created as a logistical solution to management of waste produced by the scrap steel recycling industry, IWG has evolved into a complete bulk transfer company serving various industries throughout the United States. As part of the Myles Group family of companies, IWG is positioned for continued growth and expanded services.
Innovation and creativity have lead to operations which range from transloading raw material to on-site and off-site rail car dismantling.
Strategically located in the heart of the Marcellus Shale formation, IWG’s sister company, Wellsboro & Corning Railroad, is a main line for supply to the natural gas drilling industry in Pennsylvania and New York. Working with its partners, IWG has made Wellsboro & Corning Railroad the base of its proppant supply operation. IWG currently manages fracturing sand operations at Wellsboro Junction, PA and Pittson, PA with many new sites in development in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia.
